1. Collection and Sorting
HDPE plastic waste is collected from various sources such as recycling centers and manufacturing facilities. The collected plastic waste is then sorted based on its type and color. Sorting helps ensure that contaminants are minimized and the recycling process is more efficient.
2. Cleaning and Shredding
The sorted HDPE plastic waste is thoroughly cleaned to remove any impurities such as dirt, labels, or other materials. After cleaning, the plastic waste is shredded into smaller pieces or flakes using industrial shredders. Shredding increases the surface area of the plastic, making it easier to process in the next step (extrusion).
3. Melting and Extrusion
The shredded HDPE plastic flakes are then fed into a melting chamber where they are melted at high temperatures. Once melted, the molten HDPE is forced through an extrusion machine, which forms the plastic into long strands or pellets. This process helps ensure uniformity in size and shape of the pellets.
4. Quality Control
Throughout the re-pelletizing process, quality control measures are implemented to ensure that the recycled HDPE pellets meet the required standards for use in manufacturing. This involves testing the pellets for properties such as density, melt flow index, and tensile strength.
5. Packaging and Distribution
Once the HDPE pellets have passed quality control checks, they are packaged in bags or containers and prepared for distribution to our clients. These recycled HDPE pellets can be used in various applications such as the production of plastic bottles, containers, pipes, and other products.
6. Shipment & Customer Delivery
The recycled HDPE pellets are securely packaged and transported by forklift onto containers. Our clients standards and requirements for materials are always met by the CY PLASTICS CO.LTD team.
